... We used the Hoover Mach 3 for just six months and it started making a very loud noise. It turned out to be a bad brush. Hoover would not cover it under Warranty because they claim it is a maintenance item. This was even though there were no exclusions listed on the warranty page! The unit only cost $89 and the repair shop wanted $26 for a new brush. I don't understand how a part of the vacuum that is almost 30% of the unit cost can be a maintenance item! I told them no thanks to the brush and that I would not be wasting another penny on anything made from Hoover. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS! ...
